Anatolij Toss lives and writes in Boston in the United States. He was born in Moscow in 1964, where he worked at the Academy of Sciences and published his first stories. His novel American Story has been shortlisted for the Russian Booker Prize, as has his Fantasies of a Middle-aged Woman. This novel was also selected as the “Best Book of the Year” for 2004. It has been especially successful with female readers, with more than 600,000 copies having been sold. |
